Texas State’s Vietnam representative visits recruitment partners in Ho Chi Minh City

In the last week of September and first days of October 2026, Texas State University’s representative in Vietnam visited several recruitment partners in Ho Chi Minh City, among them MAY, Blue Sea and StudyLink.

The meetings covered updates on academic programmes, admissions policy for international students, and the materials the representative office prepares to help partners advise students and parents.
Why the office visits in person
Admissions information changes every year: deadlines, tuition, English requirements, scholarships. A counsellor working from last year’s figures can cause a student to miss a deadline or prepare the wrong documents. Meeting in person is the quickest way to make sure the people who sit across from students every day have the same correct information — and for the office to hear the real questions families are asking.
The official information is public on this site, so partners and families can check it against the same source:
- Application deadlines for each intake.
- Costs and scholarships, separating the real cost of attendance from the I-20 proof-of-funds figure.
- The partner materials kit — brochures, photography, and post templates carrying the partner’s own contact details.
For students and parents: how to check
If you are applying to Texas State through an advising company, a few things are worth doing with any company:
- Check what you are told — deadlines, tuition, entry requirements — against the official pages above. A mismatch is a reason to ask again.
- Ask the representative office directly if you want to confirm that a company works with the university. Contact us.
- Be wary of guarantees — guaranteed admission, guaranteed scholarships, a certain visa. Nobody, the university included, can promise those.
Companies interested in becoming a Texas State recruitment partner can find details on the partners page.
