REFER & CONNECT
Introduce someone, or reconnect with your university
This page is for two groups: people who know someone weighing up study in the USA, and Texas State alumni.
Who this page is for
You know someone considering study abroad
A cousin in their final year of school, a colleague thinking about a master’s, a friend’s child. They are weighing it up but do not know where to start. You make the introduction, we do the advising, and there is a reward for referrers.
You studied at Texas State
Alumni tell the most honest version of what the university is like. We would like to be in touch — to share your experience with prospective students, or simply to know each other.
You work in education
Teachers, counsellors, study-abroad coordinators. If you represent an organisation, see the agent partnership page instead.

How it works
You send your details
Only your own details are required. The section about the person you are introducing is optional — leave it blank if you have not asked them yet.
We contact you first
Usually within 1–2 business days. This is also when we agree the reward and the conditions attached to it, so you know where you stand before you introduce anyone.
We advise the person you introduced
When we make contact we say plainly that you referred them. The advising itself is the same as for any other student: programmes, requirements, costs, application timeline.

Most students end up at the right university because someone they knew told them it existed.

Stated plainly
- The office charges neither you nor the person you introduce. Tuition and living costs are paid to the university and to service providers, not through us.
- We do not promise admission or scholarship outcomes for anyone. Those decisions are made by Texas State University on the merits of each application.
- There is a cash reward for referrals. The amount, the conditions and when it is paid are agreed directly between us before you make any introduction — we do not publish a fixed figure here because it varies case by case. Payment is made in accordance with the personal income tax rules in force.
About the other person’s details
This is where we are stricter than usual. Someone’s phone number or email is their personal data, not yours — so under Vietnamese decrees 13/2023 and 330/2026, the consent has to come from them.
- The section about the other person can be left blank. Your submission still reaches us and we still contact you.
- If you do fill it in, the form asks you to confirm you have their agreement. The server checks this too, not just the browser.
- On first contact we always say who referred them, so they know why we are calling.
- The person introduced can ask us to delete their data at any time — one email is enough.
If you studied here
We are putting together a list of Texas State alumni living and working in Vietnam. Not to ask anything of you straight away — first simply to know each other, to invite you to sessions with students weighing up study abroad, and to send university news in Vietnamese.

Send your details
Fill in your own details. Add the second section only if you have already asked the person you want to introduce.
Common questions
I have not asked them yet — can I still submit?
Yes. Fill in only your own details and leave the other section blank. We will contact you to agree the right way to approach them.
Will the person I introduce be pestered?
We only make contact once you have confirmed they agreed, and we say from the first call that you referred them. If they would rather not continue, we stop and delete their data on request.
What do I get for referring someone?
A cash reward. The amount, the conditions and the timing are agreed in our first conversation, before you make any introduction, so you know what you are getting before you decide. We do not publish a fixed figure because it varies case by case and we would rather not quote something that turns out different in practice. Payment is made in accordance with the personal income tax rules in force.
I am an alum with nobody to refer — is the form still useful?
Yes. Fill in your own details and your graduation year, and leave the rest blank. We are building a list of alumni in Vietnam to invite to sharing sessions and university events.
How is this different from the agent partnership page?
The partnership page is for companies and agencies that sign a recruitment representation agreement, with targets and a longer-term commitment. This page is for individuals introducing someone they know: no representation agreement, no targets, and the reward is agreed case by case.
