The Graduate College manages the overall process, but each program sets its own GPA, test scores, deadlines and supplemental documents. Understanding both layers is the key to a strong application.

Application process
1. Submit the online application
Each application is tied to one program and one term. Changing program or term usually means a new application.
2. Pay all fees
Graduate applications are not reviewed until all related fees are paid.
3. Complete program requirements
Beyond the general items, programs may require a statement of purpose, resume, recommendations, writing sample, GRE/GMAT or portfolio.

Most degree-seeking international applicants pay $90. Some specialized programs carry higher program-specific fees.

A common GPA benchmark across many programs, based on your prior bachelor’s — but not a hard rule for all.
Competitive programs go higher
Specialized or competitive programs may require a significantly higher minimum GPA.
Last 60 hours may count
Some programs look at overall GPA or the GPA of your last 60 undergraduate hours.

International transcripts and degrees
When applying
- A copy of the official transcript from every university attended
- Native-language transcript if issued in another language
- Certified English translation if the transcript is not in English
- Mark sheets / consolidated transcripts where applicable
After admission
- Official transcripts sent directly from your previous institutions
- Degree certificate in the original language + certified English translation
- Final degree statement if you are in your final year when applying
GRE, GMAT and supplemental documents
GRE / GMAT
Not required by default — many programs explicitly waive it. If required, send official scores with institution code 006667.
Statement of Purpose
Many programs use it to assess academic fit and research direction.
Resume, recommendations, portfolio
Depending on the program: CV, letters of recommendation, writing sample or a portfolio.

Do I need third-party credential evaluation (WES)?
No. TXST evaluates international transcripts in-house — just submit proper transcripts with certified English translations if needed.

Do all programs require GRE/GMAT?
